Lebanon Cemetery

Public Cemetery

Lebanon Cemetery of Apple Valley is owned and operated by the City of Apple Valley as a public cemetery. Located at the corner of Pilot Knob Road and County Road 42, Lebanon Cemetery is open to visitors from sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year. Let us assist you with planning your cemetery needs, burial arrangements, or locating a grave site.

New Access Information
On Friday, November 1, 2019, Public Works crews closed the newly installed gates at Lebanon Cemetery. The gate closures are on the Pilot Knob (west side) and County Road 42 (north side) entrance/exits. The new main entrance and exit will be off of Embry Path, which is on the East side of the cemetery. The reasons for the gate closure are to eliminate cut thru traffic and to eliminate traffic congestion on County Road 42 when there is a large funeral procession entering the cemetery. Two years ago, Apple Valley and Dakota County worked together to install a turn lane from east bound County Road 42 to south bound Embry Path. Closing these gates will ensure traffic uses the turn lane and reduces backups at the County Road 42/Pilot Knob intersection. Public Works crews will have the ability to re-open the gates if there is an emergency, maintenance or funeral procession need.
