OPEN GYMS DURING COVID-19 

Due to COVID-19, days & hours of operation, capacities, and programming may be altered to comply with the State of Minnesota orders and guidelines.  The following guidelines are currently in place:

Rental Options

Indoor court times are available to rent to the general public at the Apple Valley Community Center, 14603 Hayes Road for the Fall 2020 season.  A 15 minute buffer between group reservations is required for social distancing.  Reservations can be made by calling 952-953-2300 M-F, 9am-4pm.  All reservations for 9am start should be made by 4pm the previous weekday.  Day-of and walk-in reservations will be taken if court space is available.  Reservations for October may be made starting Oct. 1 and reservations for November may be made starting 10am on Friday, October 30.  During rentals, people may not move from court to court, but must stay in their assigned court or leave the room.  Social distancing and compliance with mask requirements is expected when not actively playing.

Pickleball: $20/hr with 1.5hr max, available M-F, 9am-2:30pm, limited to 8 people per court
Badminton: $20/hr with 1.5hr max, available M-F, 12:30-2:30pm, limited to 8 people per court
Volleyball: $40/hr with 1.5hr max, available M-F, 12:30-2:30pm

Family Open Gym

Available Monday through Friday, 12:30-2:30pm at the Community Center. Families of two or more are welcome (adults with their children or spouse); no individuals. Children 17 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who is actively participating on the court with the child. Limit is one household family per basket.same household.  Half gym is defined as one basketball court.

Youth Open Gym 

Not be available until further notice

Requirements and Adaptations:

-Equipment will not be provided.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own balls.
-Participants are required to wear a mask indoors, but are allowed to temporarily remove it “When participating in organized sports in the gym where the level of exertion makes wearing a face covering difficult”. Participants not complying with the state face covering mandate will be asked to leave.
