[ARCHIVED] Yard Waste Disposal!

It’s that time of year again for many to be in the yard raking, collecting, and disposing of leaves. Just what can be done with all this material? Trash haulers do collect yard waste at the curb, but other disposal options are available!

It’s that time of year again for many to be in the yard raking, collecting, and disposing of leaves. Just what can be done with all this material? Trash haulers do collect yard waste at the curb, but other disposal options are available!

There are several ways residents can properly dispose of yard waste from their property. Curbside collection is available through most if not all trash haulers for a fee. If you do not already pay for yard waste collection; contact your trash collection company and arrangements can be made. Residents may also compost yard waste material in a compliant manner on private property. Compost bins must meet 5 foot setback requirements from property lines, and must be constructed in a manner to adequately contain all compost material. Residents may also transport yard waste material to an area compost site. A list of compost sites is available by following the link below. Leaves may not be raked into the street. Burning leaves and grass clippings is prohibited.
