[ARCHIVED] Apple Valley Police Citizens Academy

The Apple Valley Police Department's annual Citizens Academy is being offered in September, 2017.

This year the Apple Valley Police Department is teaming up with the Rosemount Police Department to offer a joint Citizens Academy.  Classes will take place on Tuesdays starting Tuesday, September 5 and run through October 24.  Class sessions will alternate between Apple Valley and Rosemount and will cover topics such as DUI's, crime scene investigation, Use of Force, SWAT and much more.  Each participant will also have the opportunity to do a ride-along with an officer.

Registration is done online and is open to anyone 18 years or older who currently lives or works in Apple Valley or Rosemount.  Applicants are subject to a criminal background check which will determine acceptance into the program.
