The Apple Valley Police Department offers a Mentorship program to allow students age 18 and up experience in the Criminal Justice Field with the Apple Valley Police Department.
The Apple Valley Police Department offers a Mentorship program to allow students age 18 and up experience in the Criminal Justice Field with the Apple Valley Police Department.
Applicants to this program are required to be enrolled in school full time at the time of acceptance. Applicants undergo criminal history and background checks prior to acceptance into the program. Once selected, students complete approximately 40 hours of work shadowing over the course of 2-4 weeks. Students work with many of our department units including patrol, investigations, K-9, Special Enforcement Team and our Neighborhood Collaboration Officer Program (NCOP).
