Since the beginning of 2012, the Apple Valley Police have responded to 6 reports of thefts of wallets from purses or actual purses at retail businesses in the city.
The Apple Valley Police have responded to six cases where victims have reported their purses or wallets stolen while at retail shops in Apple Valley since the beginning of the year. In most of the cases, the victims indicated that they were shopping with a shopping cart and felt that their belongings were taken when they averted their attention from their purses for a short period of time looking at merchandise. Two victims reported that their credit cards were used immediately after the thefts. Officers are following up with the businesses to obtain any video surveillance to identify the suspects.
