[ARCHIVED] Ways to help fund your next home improvement project!

Home Improvement (Windows)

Do you have urgent overdue home improvement projects, but limited funds to complete the work? As a homeowner in Apple Valley and Dakota County you may be eligible for low interest home improvement loans through the County’s Home Improvement Loan Program.

Now is the time to plan for home improvement projects for the summer.  If you have been postponing urgent projects due to lack of financial resources; wait no longer.  Common projects that are eligible for funding include but are not limited to: insulation, furnace replacements, exterior upgrades (roof, siding, windows), and special needs modifications (ramps or roll-in showers).

Access to funds is based on demand which is usually high, and there may be a waitlist, so apply now to improve your chances of receiving funds this summer.  Applicants must own their home; have sufficient equity in the property, and a satisfactory credit history.  Eligibility to receive funding is also based on household size and income.

Please contact Mark Hanson at the Dakota County Community Development Agency at 651.675.4469 or for more information and how to apply.
