Ordinance Proposal: Amending Chpt 96 Regulating Right of Way
Summary: The following proposed ordinance amendment is part of a group of amendments creating provisions in the City code to allow for large Special Events, and Mobile Food Units to operate within the City as part an event. Due to the nature of events they impact several sections of code, from the zoning and signage, to roadways and solicitors. Each of these amendments are interrelated and have been reviewed by the City in conjunction with one another as they would not be applicable without the other ordinances.
Chapter 96 – Right of Way Regulations – The proposed ordinance allows Mobile Food Units to be considered a “lawfully registered motor vehicle” to ensure they are able to operate within the right-of-way if approved by the City.
