Water Restrictions Are In Effect

Sprinkler on Lawn

Use of sprinklers is prohibited between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The Department of Natural Resources has determined the state is in a drought warning. As a result, the DNR has asked cities to enforce irrigation policies and reduce daily water usage.

The use of sprinklers and irrigation systems is prohibited between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. This restriction will help conserve millions of gallons of water each day. Additional restrictions may be implemented if drought conditions continue.

As the City of Apple Valley works to reduce water usage by 50%, here’s how you can conserve water to help us meet our goal:

  • Reduce your sprinkler, irrigation system and all other non-essential water usage by 50%.
  • Use WaterSmart to monitor your water usage and save money on your utility bill.
  • Install water efficient appliances and receive credit applied to your utility bill with the Water Efficiency Rebate program.
