With recent precipitation and improved outdoor weather conditions, the fire danger posed by recreational fires has improved in the City of Apple Valley and Dakota County, Minnesota.
With the threat to the general health, safety, and welfare of its residents from recreational fires reduced, the City Council of the City of Apple Valley has lifted the Recreational Fire Ban enacted October 11, 2012. This lifting is effective immediately.
Residents are reminded that the City of Apple Valley does allow recreational fires as they are defined in Apple Valley City Code, Section 93.31, that meet the requirements of Section 93.32, and that are in compliance with Section 93.42.
