[ARCHIVED] Parking during snow removal operations!

Did you know that City ordinance prohibits parking on city streets during snow removal operations by City snow plows?

Did you know that City ordinance prohibits parking on city streets during snow removal operations by City snow plows?

After any significant snow fall event, City snow plow crews are dispatched to clear all neighborhood and arterial streets in the city. Snow removal operations often takes place between 3 and 6 AM, when parking on public streets is prohibited by city ordinance anyways; but all vehicles must be removed from city streets whenever snow removal efforts are taking place. Please ensure your vehicles are removed from the public street when snow removal efforts are taking place to ensure timely, efficient, and thorough clearing of snow from city streets. You might also be saving yourself from the burden and expense of a parking ticket.

As we hope to avoid citing residents for parking infractions as much as possible, code enforcement is dispatched to alert residents of when snow removal operations are taking place and allow them time to remove their cars from the street ahead of the snow plows. Please remember that parking on city streets between 3 and 6 AM is prohibited anyways. Residents and property owners should also refer to the city’s main webpage for updates on snow removal activities in the city (Link provided below).
